New cable suspension system Quick-Wire from OBO

Quick-Wire is the name of OBO Bettermann's new cable suspension system. The system is a quick and economical alternative to wire rod suspensions and brackets for electrical installations, trade show or store fixtures or interior solutions.  Ready-to-use Quick-Wire sets consisting of support cable, suspension variant and a cable lock facilitate suspension of cable support systems, lighting systems, information boards and partitions in indoor applications. The large number of Quick-Wire variants allows suspension from ceilings, walls, trapezoidal sheet metal ceilings or steel girders.  OBO provides quick and flexible solutions here for any mounting situation.

Load-bearing cables and bearing capacity.

Steel cables have a significantly higher load-bearing capacity than solid steel of the same diameter.  As a result, cable suspension requires less material, the installation has a more attractive appearance, and thanks to the small number of parts, assembly is efficient and uncomplicated. The different cable versions are available in 3 different diameters for light, medium and heavy loads. Carrier cables with Ø 1 mm are dimensioned for a maximum operating load of 10 kg, 2 mm cables for 45 kg and cables with Ø 3 mm for up to 90 kg operating load. The safety factor for all cables is 5:1. The maximum operating load of the entire suspension depends on the respective mounting elements and can therefore be lower than that of the Quick Wire product.  The support cables can be ordered in 5 different lengths and are manufactured from galvanized steel. Shortening on site is therefore no longer necessary.

Festo - Proportional pressure control valve VPPI
With the VPPI proportional pressure control valve, all nominal sizes are controlled directly; without the need for pilot valves or pre-stages. Due to the pressure compensating element, the valve regulates dynamically and accurately; even at the larger nominal sizes. The powerful and low-friction voice coil makes the VPPI highly dynamic. The integrated position controller contributes to high stability.

    Fluke - 1736 three-phase Power Logger
Today, we are increasingly faced with the need to optimise energy flows, find energy-efficient solutions for large consumers and bring down overall energy consumption. Saving on electrical consumption is therefore one of the topics high on companies' agendas. One of the first tasks in this process is to identify large consumers and try to minimise extra losses due to harmonics, imbalance, ... try to minimise them. For this, the Fluke-1736 is an ideal combination that allows not only to map electrical power flow, but also problems with harmonics, imbalance, mapping. This is therefore usually the first step to start improvement processes.

Stimac - Good technical support for ever-changing specifications
If the description for an automation project is clear from the start, it is easy for the industrial automation specialist to give it substance. In practice, however, specifications often change during the course of a project. This happened to Stimac/SNK when designing the control technology for a horticultural machine. For the problems that arose during the process, itsme quickly provided Stimac/SNK with a solution. “When a customer calls us, we respond immediately. So it’s nice to have a supplier like itsme who can also help immediately.”
